Time flies quickly when you are having fun – and I must say that the experiences that I have had since I launched Elizabeth Michael way back in March 1991 have been at once challenging, exciting, occasionally nerve wracking, but always exhilarating and stretching.

I have grown as an individual and as a businessperson at the same pace as the development of the business; our fates have been interlinked for nearly twenty years and I am as totally and emotionally linked as if we were married – which in a sense we are!

Elizabeth Michael is so much more than a business to me; it is the very embodiment of all that I believe that a great customer facing recruitment consultancy should be with its’ focus aimed sharply at producing outstanding quality and first rate service in the Nottingham area engendering much loyalty from our clients, temporary workers, job – seekers and of course, and very importantly, my own colleagues, many of whom have worked with me for years’. 

Elizabeth Michael has become a local success story – we are proud to be associated with a vast number of Nottingham’s employers, from new and emerging businesses to the very largest corporate organisations in Nottinghamshire and especially proud and privileged to be entrusted with the incredibly important task of seeking employment for people leaving education and entering the world of commerce for the first time and to supporting people as they continue their career paths and journeys.

By the way, I use the word “privilege” quite deliberately, because I believe that providing people with expert, sound career guidance and support and ultimately a new job is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling aspects of our work.

As you may have already deduced, at Elizabeth Michael we feel very passionately about our vital role in the Nottingham employment market!

And I also feel just as proud of my colleagues – the level of dedication and professionalism that they display every day never ceases to amaze me. Their sense of purpose and determination to deliver outstanding service and results for our jobseekers and employer clients ensures that Elizabeth Michael continues to grow towards our indelible goal to be regarded as the recruitment consultancy of choice for any individual or business involved in recruitment and employment in Nottingham.

There are three loves in my life – firstly and most importantly my family - my wife Jo and daughters Lucy and Livvy; secondly Elizabeth Michael of course (!), and thirdly a certain football club that I will not name for fear of alienating any potential candidate or client! (Curious? - click here)
