Temporary Team

The Temporaries Team- The department responsible for placing great temporary workers into great temporary assignments in Nottingham.

MARIE WILLIAMS - SENIOR CONSULTANT

I have been in the recruitment industry, an industry that I absolutely love, since November 2001 following my graduation from Staffordshire University and I now regard Nottingham as my “home town” as I was originally brought up in Macclesfield, Cheshire.

After nearly 10 years in the recruitment industry, I believe that it is safe to say that I have gained a substantial level of expertise and a broad knowledge of the business and the opportunity to build lasting and loyal relationships with my temporary workers and clients is unquestionably a hugely satisfying element of my work here at Elizabeth Michael.
I have always managed a temporaries department and I absolutely thrive on the fast pace and the challenges that arise on a daily basis.

Creating solutions and witnessing the satisfaction and delight that my hard work engenders from my clients and temporary workers is definitely the most rewarding aspect of my job, and it certainly helps that my outgoing, gregarious personality blends perfectly with the fact that I am constantly meeting people from a range of different backgrounds, who have a variety of career and personal ambitions.

My main interests, outside of work, are socialising, eating out, going to concerts and attending the gym (when I can fit it in!).

DAVINA SIMON - CONSULTANT

Hi, I’m Davina

Born in London and raised in Luton, I came to Nottingham to attend College and subsequently Nottingham Trent University where I studied Psychology. I loved the course and the city even more, so I decided to stay and have never looked back. I chose Psychology because I have always been intrigued with the reasons why we do things, especially what motivates us. I can honestly say that I still don’t know the simple answer to that question!

Recruitment is the perfect platform for me to utilise a number of the skills that I learnt at University. It had been a role that I had considered at length during my education, so when the opportunity to join Elizabeth Michael presented itself, I was delighted.

Working in the temporary division has introduced me to the rapid side of recruitment which I love. I get a thrill out of meeting different people every day and assisting them in finding the right role or candidate. I have found the career path that I wish to pursue and progress in, and I look forward to helping you with yours.

Evenings and weekends, my creative side emerges. I have taken part in Luton, Leeds and Southend Carnivals, in particular Luton, which I entered for 12 years. I designed and made my own costumes and then paraded them on a gruelling 4 mile trek through the town centre. 4 miles seems a lot when you’re pulling a 15ft costume attached to a shopping trolley. I also sing and participate in competitions when I get the chance. A particular favourite has been in Liverpool in front of around 500 people and an Open Mic competition in Sheffield.

I look forward to hearing from you at some point.

SAMANTHA STIRLAND - CONSULTANT

Hello, I’m Samantha

I started off my career within the performing arts industry, since leaving college (top of my class!) I began dancing for the North of England (Strictly Come Dancing Style!) and participating in regular theatrical productions across the UK.I then decided my ambition, enthusiasm and pro active attitude would be better suited to a career where I can offer support and guidence within a professional environment.

I have now worked within the recruitment industry (Temporary and Permanent) for several years and pride myself on my knowledge and understanding of the recruitment market. This allows me to provide an in depth and tailored service to my clients and candidates.

With my professional and bright attitude, I maintain excellent relationships with my colleagues. I am genuinely passionate about people and aim to deliver an excellent consultation service.

I live in Derby with my partner Dan and small dog Ned. I enjoy organising get togethers (I love to be the host!) attending the odd dance class, and watching films with a big bowl of popcorn!

I’m always keen to hear from my candidates, for a quick chat or update – even a shoulder to cry on at times. I’ll always make time for anyone whom requires my expertise.
